Foreign Language website editor & IT developers
Pathfinders, an online learning agency, leads a coalition of NB-based Not-for-Profit charities developing the GospelOnWeb project. These charities anticipate hiring website editors having foreign language skills for summer job positions funded by the NB SEED program. The successful applicants will have written fluency in one or more of the languages listed below as well as be conversant in English. The job will require the web editor to proof-read, fix, and edit WordPress website articles that have been translated into their specific language using an AI translation system.
The applicant will be trained in WordPress and the tasks will require him or her to format webpages, check and edit hypertext links, embed A/V content into webpages, update menus, develop downloadable PDF documents – all in their native language. Working as part of an online team with others providing technical support they will also develop Google Ads and edit YouTube video subtitles in their specific language. Applicants will be expected to attend weekly coaching sessions, report on their work process and track hours and tasks completed. Previous WordPress or website work experience is not required.
Work Term: 12 weeks in the April – August period.
Location: The project is online so work can be done from any location within NB.
Wages: $14.75/hr at 35 hours/week
NB SEED Eligibility: These positions are subject to NB SEED Criteria, which limits eligibility to applicants who are full-time students and will return again to full-time studies this coming fall. In addition candidates need to have resided in NB for at least 6 months and have a work permit.

About GospelOnWeb: Pathfinders leads a coalition of Not-for-Profit charities spread across Canada and through New Brunswick called GospelOnWeb. The project is managed from New Brunswick and New Brunswick-based charities use SEED positions to advance project goals.
The mission of the GospelOnWeb coalition is to enable people to process their life journey through conversation, sharing life stories, exploration of meaning, discovery of ancient Bible texts and inter-faith dialogue.
